Summary of Film Idea

I am in a group with George Blackwell and Lawrence Kingdon, the idea that we have come up with is a sportsman gets an injury of some sort and is then forced to relearn everything over again, the opening will be of him and how he got injured, and will be with him on his road to recovery.

The film will have a happy-ish ending as the oppening set it up as things cannot possibly get worse for the main person.

Preliminary Exercise

This is the Preliminary Exercise that i completed with Paige Weir, Millie Hicks and Rob Kenny, i feel that we worked well together and completed the task to the best of our ability, we decided between us who would do what, i was one of the people that was being filmed, once all of the filming was done we worked together to get the editing done, i feel we did all of this well.

When it came to the filming we ensured that the shots were steady, in focus and that they followed the 180 degree rule, along with the rule of thirds. We also ensured that the eye line was correct to make it clear where the people are situated. When it came to editing we realised that we had a jump cut, we fixed it by getting an off cut and adding it in, if we had more time we would simply film another shot.

The pace of the video was good as it wasn't too fast or too slow, and we successfully used shot reverse shot in the conversation between me a Millie, along with shot reverse shot we used match on action.

The overall sound of the exercise was OK but could be better as it isn't very clear and at points it is quiet, making it hard to hear the conversation.

The location of the exercise was chose as we felt it needed a corporate feel as i was being fired for work, the lighting of the exercise was high-key which made it look natural.
